Another spectacular page from 1941’s Yankee comics #4, one of the original Enchanted Dagger stories.  Well…okay…spectacular might be overstating it a little bit…

Progress continues on our Enchanted Dagger story.  I’m in full coloring mode.  This week my seasonal labor gig starts up again so my production levels are sure to plummet, but I’ve got Issue #5 into a good place for the time I will have.  I’m going to take it easy on myself and try to finish the color highlights of 1 measly panel a day…some panels take an hour or so, others can take awhile…in any case I should be able to finish it all up this spring without any trouble.  Then it’s on to the next one (croak!)  I read a good Neil Gaiman quote the other day which, to paraphrase, says “to be a writer you’ve got to write one word and then another word and keep going until its finished – easy and hard as that”.  That’s the truth!  Some days you can only squeeze out one crappy word.
