The Enchanted Dagger

Busy busy!  drove down the coast to promote the Kickstarter campaign which is now officially scheduled to drop on August 20th, a week from today.  And then we’ll have the Fairfax Comic Con a few days later to hopefully give it a boost.  Shout out to Comic World and Fight or Flight comics in Raleigh, Mac’s Heroes and Villains and Central City Comics in Charlotte, and Captain’s Comics in Charleston.  Finger’s crossed!

Not my favorite part of comics, all this left brain stuff, but I figure that’s true for all of us honest toilers.  I’ve been enjoying checking out all of these stores, truth be told.  I’m hoping at least a few of them will support the campaign to go along with the handful of stores in my area who I think I can rely on…

It makes me want to bury my head in some art work… until I realize I still have a ton of highlights to do on today’s page.  Ugg still mastering photoshop colors… I’ll refrain from any griping… but soo many layers!  It’s fucking annoying coming from Illustrator where on most pages i could contain my layers to a reasonable 15 or 20.  I just cut and pasted into my 68th layer for this page.  I don’t know where anything is.  And my coloring is not wowing me by any stretch.  Why does everything seem to be grey? okay just a little griping.  Lets see how it looks….

Lots of emails to write… hopefully the juice is worth the squeeze….  I’ll try to post something next week to announce the Kickstarter and set up links and a QR code and whatnot…. Page 13 has a ton of work left to do, hard to get to it with all this busy-ness.
